{Five for Friday - June 19th}

Hi, friends!

I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for some fun Five for Friday action!

Tomorrow I will be in my cousin's wedding. I am also pale...like Princess Ana and Elsa pale. I NEVER tan. For example, for my senior year of prom, I had to start in *JANUARY* tanning for 2-3 minutes at a time JUST to get some color by May. It's intense.

So, I have been slathering myself in Jergens "Glow". I'm not sure I so much as *glow* as I do favor an Oompa Loompa. Just saying. #thestruggleisreal

I'm so excited to celebrate my husband this Father's Day. Last year on Father's Day, we got the call that we were *finally* matched with a birth mother. It was the most precious day to receive a call that we would *finally* be parents.

So, for Allen's 1st official Father's Day, one of his gifts was this little modge podge frame. It was quick, simple and I think it turned out too cute! I mean, I kinda just want to keep it for myself.

I simply just printed out images on regular paper, got a .97 wooden frame from Wal-mart and modge podge the images on the frame. I then hot glued a piece of green ric-rac around the edges and wrote a sweet Father's Day note on the back with a Sharpie. {WARNING! Be careful when you are modge podging not to place your finger on the paper when it's wet. I accidently did this, and when I pulled up, little Noah's head was stuck to my finger. Oops. I just chose a different picture and modge podged over it.}

I also made my *own* version of this pin from Pinterest. Love it!

We had a play date with one of our friends. Noah and A were *adorable* together. A is obsessed with Noah's hair {I mean, can you blame the kid?!}. They ate Puffs, kissed each other, pulled each other's hair. It was a good time. :)

I am redoing my bathroom. As of yesterday, I have *all* the pieces needed. I'm just scared to death that I won't "Pinterest Love It" like I should, ya know what I mean?! My shower curtain is gray and white stripped. My towels are white and gray. Rugs are white. Just...I need to do it. I'm going to do it. {And then we can actually eat on the kitchen table because all this crap will be gone.}

I am *ONE* article and *TWO* activities away from being done with my newest nonfiction pack for 3rd-5th graders. Love it. Obsessed with it. I may or may not have even watched all 3 of the Jurassic Park movies. I mean. Ya know. If you want to see what's inside, check out my similar nonfiction pack, Ocean Animals. Love. it. too. {Next up...Zoo Animals, The Human Body and Our Military!}

Well, that was fun! Have you linked up yet?

Until then,

  2. That Father's Day gift is so precious. As for being pale, I know how it is. That Jergens stuff is pretty good.

  3. Looks like you've had a great week! I hope the wedding goes well! I completely understand the pale thing - I am SUPER pale! We travel a lot and yet I still never catch a tan! I've now come to accept that I will never be tanned and always be pale! So glad that everything panned out for you! Hope Allen has a great Father's Day!
