Currently

Oh boy! It's July.

That's CRAZYY!!! Time is flying by way to quickly.

I'm linking up with Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade for this month's currently link up!

LISTENING:
I love Cake Boss. Like *obsessed* kinda love.
When I grow up, I'm going to work for him.
Or at least eat a lot of his cake.

LOVING:
We had Noah's 9 month pics done last month and I *LOVE* how they turned out. He is such a smiley baby, but of course, on picture day, he was kinda grumpy head. So, every picture with a smile, we worked SUPER hard for. {And all of me and my husband look *ri-diculous*. We are squinting and our faces are squished smiling trying to get him to smile. You've been there. You know.}

THINKING:
This child is EVERYWHERE. And by everywhere, I mean everywhere.
Cabinets, under the entertainment center, the toilet (yes, the toilet), diaper boxes, on top of mixing bowls. It's insane. And he gives me about 15,973 heart attacks each day with this boyish antics at 10 months old.

I just want to put him in a bubble suit and rock him. That way, I know he isn't going to break all his body parts in 4.2 seconds.

OH. And he's *NOT* even walking yet.

WANTING: Do I really need to explain why I need a my Mother's Day gift of a day at the spa?
I think not.

NEEDING:
I have like 15 products that need to be finished. I start, then I stop. I just NEED to finish them.

This week, my plan is to finish my Dinosaur Nonfiction pack for 3rd-5th graders and my Back to School Nonfiction pack for 3rd-5th graders.

ALL STAR: And this about wraps it up. I'm like *SUPER* woman at procrastination. There's LOTS to be done, but so many other distractions {like that cute little baby you read about above?! yeah...that's a good reason to put off laundry and TpT products....}.

{Can you relate?!}

Have you linked up with Farley yet?! If not, you should.

Until then,

October Currently & FREEBIE!

October has always been my favorite month.

From the yummy pumpkin flavored everything, to the cooler weather and my birthday.

THIS birthday this year is both the best and weirdest birthday ever.

BEST - because I have already received the greatest gift of my life, Noah Travis.

WEIRDEST - because I'll be 30. THIRTY. Like, the number after 29. Like 10 years from 40.....EWW?!

Ok. I'm done.

{FOCUS, Lindsay, FOCUS.}

ANYWHO....On to Currently with Farley!

Listening
Because I'm on maternity leave, I've been able to watch Today. I love Hoda and Kathie Lee -- Hoda a little bit more than Kathie Lee. Hoda is just precious; Kathie Lee is just loud.

Loving
Baby Noah.
Oh my holy cuteness.
 I am so in love with this little person that is ours. He will be a month old on October 6th. We just got his newborn pics last night. Ohemgeeeee.

Please tell me you did not just die from this cuteness overload!?

{SIDENOTE: I am currently writing this post with a tiny little boy attached to me in the Ergobaby. Today, this is the only way he will sleep.}

Thinking
I love fall like whoah. But this year, I've been a bit preoccupied* (*see above), so I haven't had time to put out any fall decor.

I mean, I just took down my summer wreath yesterday.

Yes. Yesterday. Hey -- at least it's down.

Oh -- wait -- I did get out a pumpkin spice candle. {That counts, right?!}

Wanting
Should I even have to explain this?

I think not.

Needing
I have a super cute gray polish that is calling my name. And I have a feeling it will just keep calling...until at least tomorrow.

Trick or Treat?
TREAT!

For my treat, I'm giving you my Halloween Fluency Pack for FREE until Saturday! {Click on the image to download the file!}

If you LOVE this, I have Fluency for EACH MONTH at my TpT Store!

Happy Halloween!!

Until then,

Currently {September}

I am SO excited to link up with Farley on Currently {September}! IT's been fo-evah, evah since I have.

So, here goes!

Listening
My husband and I are obsessed with the show "The Pitch" on Netlfix all of the sudden. It's about two major marketing companies making pitches to major businesses and corporations to win their business.

Basically, it's another reality show. However, at least after watching this one, you don't walk about feeling dumber than you did when you started. Believe me - I know. I watch plenty of dumb reality television that will suck your brains out and flush them down the toilet. Let's be honest, those are equally as awesome.

Loving
My husband and I have been waiting for 3 1/2 years to adopt a baby from Ethiopia. Because of the major slow down in international adoptions from Ethiopia the past 3 years, our social worker suggested while we wait for that sweet baby, we start a domestic adoption.

So, after waiting for 6 months, we were matched with a baby boy that will be born in 8 days...1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8...EIGHT days! Crazy exciting! We can NOT wait.

Thinking
So in order to keep myself from going coo-coo crazy waiting for these 8 days to pass by quickly, I need to finish these next 5 things. More close reading, Patriot Day resource, History Mysteries, writing mini-offices...I may have carpal tunnel. Already.

Wanting
My husband and I live in New Orleans and I am obsessed with Cafe Au Laits from Cafe Du Monde. They magical deliciousness in each cup. Holy moly. Delish.

Needing
A GIANT chill pill.
(This may or may NOT need to be explained.)
New baby - 8 days.
Adoption.
Waiting.
Paperwork.
Court.
Life changing.
Love.
Excitement.
Anxiety.
Packing.
Flying.
Family.
BABY. <3

Last night, I LITERALLY was drinking chamomile tea will applying lavender essential oil to the back of my ears and my temple. Nothing.

Hence - giant chill pill.

Suggestions?

3 Trips
Utah - That's where we will go and get our sweet baby boy.
Ireland - I've been obsessed with Ireland since I was in 8th grade. I will go one day. I MUST go one day.
The house in "The Holiday" in Surrey, England - That sounds like a magical place to be right. about. now.
            The Holiday movie cottage

So, that's all. I'm off to finish one of the 5 TpT packets. And drink more chamomile tea. ;)

Until then,

I get my vinyl from Expression Vinyl and shipping is so fast!

2) CUTE CLIP ART! Other than using clip art to jazz up my TpT & TN files, I also use it ALL YEAR LONG on gift tags, classroom newsletters, making CUTE desktop backgrounds, etc, etc!!

My Current TOP 3 Go-To Clip Art Sites:

1) Digi Web Studio {http://www.digiwebstudio.com/store/} Ummm...I don't know if I'm one of the last people in the world to jump on this wagon, but this site has TONS of Commercial Use clip art at great prices, NOT TO MENTION they are AH-dorable! LURVE them!

2) KPM Doodles {http://www.teachersnotebook.com/shop/kpmdoodles} PRECIOUS clip art at a great value! I am in LOVE with all of her graphics and can't stop buying them!!

3) New *FUN* Ink Pens! I LOVE a good ink pen {you just can not have too many...I mean, seriously!}

These are my favorite ink pens {and I've even gotten my husband using these pens, too!}, and I ask for them at Christmas and for my birthday....is that normal?!
If you'd like to experience my obsession, click on the picture. My favorite colors are purple, green, orange, & black.
So, now that I've expressed my sick obsession excitement over vinyl, clip art, and ink pens {I mean, if that doesn't sound like a teacher, I don't know what will}, I'm going to share my newest product.

I really needed something for my classroom to (A) fill a wall space with something that was cute, eye catching for the students, and matched my polka dot classroom and (B) reinforced the reading strategies that we hit really hard on in the beginning of the school year. I'd been dying to use my newest KPM Doodles clip art set {this one....see, I told you I can't stop buying from her store...}, so I thought, "What the hey!"

In this packet, there are 10 colorful strategy posters with a definition and visual representation of each strategy. The strategies included in this packet are: SCHEMA, MAKING CONNECTIONS, TEXT-TO-TEXT, TEXT-TO-SELF, TEXT-TO-WORLD, VISUALIZING, QUESTIONING, INFERRING, SYNTHESIZING, and SUMMARIZING.

The *first 2 people* to Follow my TpT store and comment below {don't forget to leave your email address} will receive this FO' FREE!! Also, for this weekend only {8/4-8/5} this product will be 50% off! WOOHOO!! CHECK IT OUT!

OH, and don't forget to check out Katie from Queen of the First Grade Jungle's blog tomorrow {8/5}! I will be guest blogging over there {and that's ANOTHER first for me!}.

Until then,
